B2B marketplaces, trade shows, sector directories, referrals: there's no shortage of channels. The challenge isn't finding suppliers, but qualifying them. Always cross-check several sources and prefer direct contact over a mere product page.
Qualifying before committing
Check seniority, references, production capacity and responsiveness. A sample and a first detailed exchange reveal a lot. For large orders, an independent audit or quality check limits the risk.
Securing over time
Good sourcing doesn't stop at the first order: formalise supplier information, standardise the collection of shipping data and keep a record of every exchange. Diversifying suppliers on critical references reduces dependency.
